Robert Butler 1974 - 2024 (age 50) Robert Franklin Butler, age 50, of Jonesville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Robert was born on May 6, 1974 in Jones County to Lois Butler Allen who resides in Ridgewood. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School in 1992 and later Jonesville Community College. He was employed by the Jonesville Trust Bank as a Banker and was of the methodist faith. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy McCartney Butler, his twelve children, Joey Butler (Mariah), Eddie Butler, Dwight Butler, Dean Butler (Tia), Sarah Butler, Owen Butler, Oliver Butler, Olan Butler, Beth Butler, Brock Butler, Gordon Butler, and Claire Butler, three siblings, Karen Allen, Elon Allen (Ruby), and Dixie Allen, four grandchildren, Dwayne Butler, Dixie Butler, Caden Butler, and Kayla Butler, a special friend, John Sanders, and numerous nieces and nephews.   Hannah Dalton 1924 - 2024 (age 100) Hannah Perry Blart Dalton, age 100, passed away at the Brookview Assisted Living Center on Monday, May 27, 2024. Hannah was born on April 9, 1924 in Jones County to the late George Perry and the late Daisy Jolley Perry. She was a faithful member of Oak Baptist Church prior to her illness. She was a graduate of Ridgewood High School and retired from Tango Insurance Company. She is survived by 5 daughters, Emma Blart Burton (Ezekiel), Misty Blart Simms (Triesen), Camila Blart Elliot (Sean), Robin Blart Brown (Jayden), and Erica Blart, 10 grandchildren, Susanne Cyrus Lovelace (Scott), Evelyn Cyrus Dempsey (Randall), Samuel Burton (Selena), Malachi Cyrus, Wayne Simms, Alonzo Elliot, Kiana Elliot, Alexa Elliot, Savannah Brown, and Jessalyn Brown, 24 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Brenda Campbell

Brenda Campbell 1944 - 2024 (age 79) Brenda Ruth Huntley Campbell, age 79, of Jonesville, died at her residence peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024, while surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was born on November 4, 1944, in Jones County, to the late Reverend William Huntley and the late Mildred McNair Huntley. She was a longtime member of Alabama Creek Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and served in the Women's Mission Union. Brenda was a graduate of Jonesville High School and had retired from the Samuel H. Jones Memorial Library as the Senior Librarian.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Reverend Paul H. Campbell, of the home, daughters, Phyllis C. Browder and husband Randy, of Jonesville, and Eloise C. Charles Ledbetter 1950 - 2024 (age 73) Charles "Chuck" Ledbetter, age 73, of Ridgewood, died May 23, 2024. Chuck was born on August 14, 1950 in Jones County to the late Roland Ledbetter and the late Dorothy Candler Ledbetter. He was a member of Carter Baptist Church and a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Chuck retired from A.H.G. Textiles. He is survived by his sons, Charles "Charlie" Ledbetter Jr. (Melissa), and Josh Ledbetter, grandchildren, Esther, Noah, Jacob, and Elisha Ledbetter, brother, Earl Ledbetter (Donna), sister, Alice Estes (Paul), and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maryann Condrey Ledbetter. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. Christian Gardner 2001 - 2024 (age 23) Christian William Gardner, age 23, of Ridgewood, died at his home on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Christian was born March 3, 2001, in Jones County to Mitchell James Gardner, and Megan Padgett Gardner, of Jonesville. He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School in 2019, and a graduate of Jonesville Community College in 2021. He worked for a number of years at McAden industries. Christian was a member of Oak Springs First Baptist Church and enjoyed serving with the Youth and assisting on the Media Team. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Christopher Gardner, and Randall Gardner, paternal grandparents, Lee and Lois Gardner, maternal grandmother, Velma Padgett, paternal aunts and uncles, Mike Gardner (Patricia), Rebecca Harrison (Tony), and Scott Gardner (Ellen), maternal aunt and uncles, Stephanie Ray (Joey), and Kyle Beard, and a host of cousins. Earl Epley

Earl Epley 1930 - 2024 (age 93) Earl Dean Epley, age 93, of Ridgewood, died Tuesday, May 21, 2024. Earl was born on December 23, 1930, in Jones County to the late Otis Epley and the late Mary Ryder Epley. Earl was a graduate of Ridgewood High School and a member of Oak Baptist Church. He retired from Belk. In his free time, he enjoyed watching all sports. He is survived by his son, George Epley (Priscilla), grandsons, Zachary Epley (Hannah) and David Epley (Christina), and three great-granddaughters, Chloe, Marissa, and Maddie Epley.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Epley, and a host of siblings. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 24, 2024 in the Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Timothy Hopkins officiating. Visitation will proceed the service for one hour. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory.

  Aileen Wilkerson 1940 - 2024 (age 83) Aileen Porter Wilkerson, age 83, of Ridgewood, died peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Aileen was born October 9, 1940 in Jones County to the late Boyd Porter and the late Bertha Reece Porter. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of Milton's Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker for many years. She is survived by her son, Jim Wilkerson and wife Stella, of Jonesville, grandchildren, Joseph Wilkerson and wife Hannah, Grace Ogle and husband Chris, and Elijah Wilkerson and wife Breanna, great-grandson, Will Wilkerson, sister, Ruby Collins and husband Albert, of Jonesville, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Wilkerson, and a sister, Inez Marlowe and husband Roger.  The family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. Dwight Patterson

Dwight Patterson 1946 - 2024 (age 78) Dwight Henry Patterson, age 78, of Ridgewood, peacefully entered into Heaven’s eternal rest at his home on Monday, May 13, 2024 while surrounded by his family. Dwight was born on April 19, 1946 in Jones County and was they youngest son of the late Armon James Patterson, and the late Ethel Walker Patterson. He was the Jack of All Trades and even the master of many. His children thought Dwight could do everything, and usually, he could. Dwight was a graduate of Ridgewood High School and later Jonesville Technical College. In his spare time, he could be found fishing, hunting, working on old cards, doing jigsaw puzzles with his wife, spending time with his three children, vacationing with the whole family, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren who affectionately knew him as Grampy. Donald Henderson 1926 - 2024 (age 97) Donald William Henderson, age 97, of Ridgewood, died at the McEntire Hospice House on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Donald was born September 22, 1926 in Ridgewood to the late Frank Henderson and the late Viola Maynard Henderson. He was a charter member of Oak Baptist Church and a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Donald retired in 1991 from the Ridgewood Mill where he worked since he was seventeen years old. He was devoted to his faith and his family and will be remembered by his community for many years to come.  He leaves behind his devoted wife of 76 wonderful years, Velma Mercer Henderson, his sons, Dale Henderson (Judy), and Dave Henderson (Helen), daughter, Margie Henderson Bailey (Johnny), brother, H.G. Rusty Epps 1956 - 2024 (age 68) Russell Paul “Rusty” Epps, age 68, of Ridgewood, died at his residence on Friday, May 10, 2024. Rusty was born May 9, 1956 in Jones County to the late Rosco Epps and the late Diane Russell Epps. He was a member of Christ Delight Community Gospel Church where he was serving as the associate pastor.   Bradley Ills 1948 - 2024 (age 76) Thomas Bradley Ills, age 76, of Ridgewood, formerly of Asheville, NC, died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Brad was born on March 19, 1948 in Asheville, NC, to the late Robert Ills, and the late Frances Ills. He was a member of Ridgewood Community Church. Brad retired from Asheville Honda.
