1940 - 2024 (age 83)

Aileen Porter Wilkerson, age 83, of Ridgewood, died peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Aileen was born October 9, 1940 in Jones County to the late Boyd Porter and the late Bertha Reece Porter. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and a member of Milton's Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker for many years.

She is survived by her son, Jim Wilkerson and wife Stella, of Jonesville, grandchildren, Joseph Wilkerson and wife Hannah, Grace Ogle and husband Chris, and Elijah Wilkerson and wife Breanna, great-grandson, Will Wilkerson, sister, Ruby Collins and husband Albert, of Jonesville, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Wilkerson, and a sister, Inez Marlowe and husband Roger. 

The family will receive friends Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. The service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Milton's Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Henry Melton and Reverend Mark Patterson officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Milton's Grove Baptist Church. 

The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the services.
