Christian William Gardner, age 23, of Ridgewood, died at his home on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Christian was born March 3, 2001, in Jones County to Mitchell James Gardner, and Megan Padgett Gardner, of Jonesville. He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School in 2019, and a graduate of Jonesville Community College in 2021. He worked for a number of years at McAden industries. Christian was a member of Oak Springs First Baptist Church and enjoyed serving with the Youth and assisting on the Media Team.

Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Christopher Gardner, and Randall Gardner, paternal grandparents, Lee and Lois Gardner, maternal grandmother, Velma Padgett, paternal aunts and uncles, Mike Gardner (Patricia), Rebecca Harrison (Tony), and Scott Gardner (Ellen), maternal aunt and uncles, Stephanie Ray (Joey), and Kyle Beard, and a host of cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles William Padgett, and his maternal aunt, Heather Beard.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. The service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with Reverend Carter Crowe, Reverend Trason Moore, Reverend Elijah Holden, and Reverend Holden Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Meadow Springs Cemetery with Reverend Gene Franklin officiating. The family has entrusted Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the arrangements.
