Russell Paul “Rusty” Epps, age 68, of Ridgewood, died at his residence on Friday, May 10, 2024. Rusty was born May 9, 1956 in Jones County to the late Rosco Epps and the late Diane Russell Epps. He was a member of Christ Delight Community Gospel Church where he was serving as the associate pastor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Velma Martin Epps, of the home, his children, Jordan Russell Epps and wife Michelle, of Ridgewood, Miranda Epps Bridges and husband Stephen, of Jonesville, and Craig Alexander Epps, of the home, brother, Lenny Epps and wife Brenda, of Ridgewood, and a number of nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Deana Mills. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. The service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Christ Delight Community Gospel Church with Reverend Michelle Haynes and Reverend Patrick Parker officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Meadow Springs Cemetery.
