Caden Houle

Caden Houle 1927 - 2024 (age 97) Caden Houle, age 97, of Ridgewood, died Tuesday, June 25, 2024 following a short illness. He was born on April 3, 1927 in Jones County to the late Buster Houle and the late Ethel McCain Houle. He graduated from Ridgewood High School and later Jonesville Community College. He retired from Ridgewood Psychiatric Services where he worked as a counselor for over forty years. He is survived by his stepson, Marvin Jefferson (Rebel Grace), stepdaughter, Anna Brady (Beavis), stepgrandsons, Andre Jefferson (Jessica), and Brock Miller, 8 step-great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 step-nephews, Robin Goff and Alvin Goff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Allison Goff Houle, on April 25, 2024, and six siblings. The family will receive friends Friday, June 28, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. Hunter Millwood

Hunter Millwood 1996 - 2024 (age 27) Thomas Hunter Millwood, age 27, of Ellenwood, passed away at the Walton Hospital on Sunday, June 16, 2024, following complications of an automobile accident. Hunter was born June 24, 1996 in Jones County and was a son of Charles and Misty Gaines Millwood, of Ellenwood. He was a member of Oak Baptist Church and a graduate of East Jones County High School. Hunter also graduated from the University of Tennessee and was a Banker at the Truist Bank in Jonesville. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife, Emma McLellan Millwood, of the home, son, Tyler Thomas Millwood, of the home, sister, Ashley Miranda Millwood, of Ellenwood, brother, Christian Millwood and fiance Makayla Austin, of Jonesville, paternal grandparents, Patrick and Joann Millwood, of Ridgewood, maternal grandparents, Steve and Eleanor Gaines, of Brownsboro, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:30 pm on Wednesd

  Buster Wright 1947 - 2024 (age 76) Buster Charles Wright, age 76, of Jonesville, died peacefully, Friday, June 14, 2024. Buster was born on September 11, 1947 in Jones County to the late Sam Wright and the late Ellen Brooks Wright. He was a member of Saint Mary's Cathedral where he attended faithfully. He was the retired Fire Chief from the Jonesville Fire Department and a graduate of Jonesville High School. Survivors are his wife, Marian Burns Wright, daughters, Christine Hurt (Jerry), Sophia Mountjoy (Anthony) and Vivienne Wright, sons, Cooper Wright and Caleb Wright, three grandchildren, Sophia Bjorklund, Manny Spielburg, and Jack Mountjoy, sisters, Thelma Dale (Ben), and Barbara Butterfield, and a number of nieces and nephews. Bailey Jackson

Bailey Jackson 1930 - 2024 (age 93) Charles Bailey Jackson Jr, age 93, of Ridgewood, died Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the McEntire Hospice House. Bailey was born June 16, 1930 in Jones County, to the late Charles Bailey Jackson Sr., and the late Bennie Lee Young Jackson. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. Bailey retired from Coca Cola as a delivery supervisor.  He is survived by his son, Jason Jackson (Renae), grandchildren, Zachary Jackson, Parker Jackson, Jonathan Jackson, and Malre Madison (Tucker), great-grandson, Winston Madison, sister-in-law, Betty Jackson, and his special friend, Helen Parks.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Clarence Jackson, in 2011, and his ex-wife, Lois Harris Jackson, in 2013.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. Arlene Hayes

  Arlene Hayes 1924 - 2024 (age 99) Arlene Dorothy Hayes, age 99, of Ridgewood, died Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Brookwillow Assisted Living Center where she was a longtime resident. Arlene was born July 19, 1924 in Jones County to the late Hudson Hayes and the late Aileen Morrison Hayes. She was a member of Palm's Creek Church of God. She was a teacher for Ridgewood Elementary School for several years, retiring in the 1980's.  She is survived by a brother, Lincoln Hayes and wife Goldie, sister, Ruth Bailey, sisters-in-law, Doris Hayes and Ethel Hayes, and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Hayes and Harold Hayes, sister, Vera Swink, and brother-in-law, Gordon Swink. The body will lie-in-state from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the Ridgewood Community Cemetery with Bishop

Archie Crosby

Archie Crosby 1932 - 2024 (age 92) Archie Crawford Crosby, age 92, of Ridgewood, died at his residence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Archie was born on May 16, 1932, in Jones County, to the late Elbert Crosby and the late Ivy Crawford Crosby. He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Archie worked for a number of years as an insurance associate. Archie was a faithful member of Alabama Springs Baptist Church. Archie is survived by his beloved daughter, Sandra Crosby Smith (Dean), three grandchildren, Ollie Smith (Sarah), Devin McCain (Joseph), and Grace Reid (Mark), six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. There is also a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill Crosby, Arthur Crosby, Joe Crosby, Ed Crosby, Charles Crosby, and Elmer Crosby.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory.
