1932 - 2024 (age 92)

Archie Crawford Crosby, age 92, of Ridgewood, died at his residence on Monday, June 3, 2024. Archie was born on May 16, 1932, in Jones County, to the late Elbert Crosby and the late Ivy Crawford Crosby. He was a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Archie worked for a number of years as an insurance associate. Archie was a faithful member of Alabama Springs Baptist Church.

Archie is survived by his beloved daughter, Sandra Crosby Smith (Dean), three grandchildren, Ollie Smith (Sarah), Devin McCain (Joseph), and Grace Reid (Mark), six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. There is also a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill Crosby, Arthur Crosby, Joe Crosby, Ed Crosby, Charles Crosby, and Elmer Crosby. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at the Alabama Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Ray Campbell and Reverend Michael Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Carver Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alabama Springs Baptist Church.

The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory.
