  Maxine Braley 1929-2024 (age 94) Maxine Joyce Nelson Braley, age 94, passed away at her residence on January 23, 2024, following a battle with dementia. Maxine was born on June 3, 1929, in Cobb County, GA, to the late Albert B. Nelson and the late Pearl H. Nelson. She was a retired Secretary working for numerous years at Thompson Assisted Living Center. Her hobbies included keeping a clean home and quilting. Maxine was a faithful member of Jordan Baptist Church and loved Gospel Music. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman Harris, an infant daughter, Martha Braley, a daughter-in-law, Susan Braley, and her grandson, Jeremy Braley. Heather Beard

  Heather Beard 1979-2024 (age 44) Heather Padgett Beard, age 44, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence while under Hospice care. Heather was born on May 16, 1979, in Jones County, to Velma Ledbetter Padgett, and the late Charles William Padgett. She was a member of Oak Springs First Baptist Church where she was formerly the Youth Leader. She had a special place in her heart for her family and friends as well as a special joy in supporting the youth and children in her church and community. Heather was a teacher at West Ridgewood Middle School for a number of years.  In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Lawrence Kyle Beard, sons, Jeremiah Kyle Beard, and Jayden William Beard, sisters, Megan Padgett Gardner and husband Mitchell, and Stephanie Padgett Ray and husband Joey, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.   Megan Parkland 1983 - 2024 (age 40) Megan Henderson Parkland, age 40, of Ridgewood, died at her residence on Friday, January 12, 2024. Megan was born on May 14, 1983 in Winterhaven, FL, to Casey Parkland and wife Debbie, of Simpsonville, SC, and Sharon Millwood and husband Keith, of Colorado Springs, CO. She formerly worked in retail and is survived by many friends and family in addition to her parents. There is a number of step-siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. No Formal Service will be held. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the arrangements. 

Robert Hoyle

  Robert Hoyle 1939-2024 (age 85) Robert Linwood Hoyle, age 85, of Ridgewood, died at his residence on January 2, 2024 following a battle with dementia. Robert was a faithful member of Ridgewood Community Church where he had been a deacon, a faithful member of the choir, and an usher. Robert was a graduate of Ridgewood School, a retired Mechanic, and a devoted father. Robert served his country in the U.S. Army. He was born on January 1, 1939 to the late Virgil Hoyle and the late Carol Hoyle. Survivors are his precious wife, Gladys Frashier Hoyle, of the home, son-in-law, Michael Marlowe, of Jonesville, grandchildren, Joshua Marlowe and wife Alex, and Morgan Marlowe, great-grandson, Mason Marlowe, brother, Nathan Hoyle and wife Gloria, and sister, Susan Hoyle Morgan and husband Billy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Hoyle Marlowe, grandsons, Caden Marlowe, and David Marlowe, and his sister, Lora Simpson. Oliver Davenport

Oliver Davenport 1929-2024 (age 94) Oliver Hoyle Davenport, age 94, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024 at the Brookwillow Assisted Living Center surrounded by his loving family. Oliver was born on April 4, 1929 in Jones County to the late Hoyle Davenport and the late Blanche Lancaster Davenport. Oliver was a member of Oak Baptist Church as a child, and later a longtime member at both Hopewood Church and Cash Memorial Baptist Church. He served his country faithfully in the Army and later retired as the Town Manager for the Town of Ridgewood. Oliver also enjoyed helping his son Ricky at his auto shop.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Hudson Davenport, his second wife, Madge Freeman (Vess) Davenport, his son, Ricky Davenport, daughters-in-law, Kay Davenport and Patricia Davenport, a step-son, Max Vess Jr, and an infant daughter, Maxine Davenport. He was also preceded in death by brothers Hampton Davenport and Charles Davenport, and a sister, S
