Heather Padgett Beard, age 44, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence while under Hospice care. Heather was born on May 16, 1979, in Jones County, to Velma Ledbetter Padgett, and the late Charles William Padgett. She was a member of Oak Springs First Baptist Church where she was formerly the Youth Leader. She had a special place in her heart for her family and friends as well as a special joy in supporting the youth and children in her church and community. Heather was a teacher at West Ridgewood Middle School for a number of years. 

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Lawrence Kyle Beard, sons, Jeremiah Kyle Beard, and Jayden William Beard, sisters, Megan Padgett Gardner and husband Mitchell, and Stephanie Padgett Ray and husband Joey, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents. 

A time of Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. A service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with Rev. Gene Franklin officiating. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with arrangements.
