David "Dave" Donald Henderson, age 77, of Ridgewood, died at the McEntire Hospice House on Thursday, September 19, 2024.  Dave was born on July 3, 1947, in Jones County, to Velma Mercer Henderson, and the late Donald William Henderson. He was a member of Oak Baptist Church and a graduate of Ridgewood High School. Like his father, he retired from the Ridgewood Mill.

In addition to his mother, survivors are his wife, Helen Henderson, son, David Henderson Jr. (Kim), daughter, Donna Henderson Melvin (Kevin), brother, Dale Henderson (Judy), sister, Margie Bailey (Johnny), grandchildren, David Henderson, Trent Henderson, Austin Henderson, Maggie Melvin, and Josh Melvin, great-grandson, David Henderson, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Oak Baptist Church. The memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at the Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Hopkins and Reverend Grady McDaniel officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oak Baptist Church in his memory. The family has trusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the arrangements.
