Betty Ruth Hampton Justice, age 96, of Ridgewood, passed away at her home on Monday, September 23, 2024. Betty was born on September 6, 1928, in Jonesville, to the late Theodore Hampton and the late Joris Clevinger Hampton. She was a member of Oak Baptist Church and a homemaker for many years. Betty loved watching hummingbirds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elvis Justice, and her son, Dean Justice. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Evelyn Justice Walker and husband Randy, and Faye Justice Williams and husband Ben, grandchildren, Amelia Humphries and husband Dale, Faith McDonald and husband Ryan, Preston Walker and wife Gracie Faith, Jasmine Poole and husband Tyler, Dayton Williams and wife Kayleigh, Hayden Justice and wife Morgan, and Hunter Justice and wife Abigail, brother, Sammy Hampton, and sister, Doris Washburn and husband Troy. There is also a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Oak Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at the Oak Baptist Church with Reverend Tim Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oak Baptist Church. The Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory has been entrusted with the services.
