1938 - 2024 (age 86)
Arnold Grover McArthur, age 86, of Jonesville, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Arnold was born on July 3, 1938 in Jones County to the late George McArthur and the late Iris Jordan McArthur. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School and retired from the Ridgewood Mill. He and his wife faithfully attended Ridgewood Community Church.
He is survived by his sons, Perry McArthur (Sue), and Max McArthur (Tonia), daughter, Misty Epley (George), grandchildren, Tori Randall (Trey), Derrick McArthur (Savannah), Morgan McAllister, David McArthur (Shelia), Shelby Tyson (Austin), and Jonathan Epley (Kara), nine great-grandchildren, and his brother, Ray McArthur.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Tate McArthur, and two sisters, Eleanor Young, and Penelope Whitaker.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. The service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with Reverend Ryan Holt officiating. Interment will follow in the Ridgewood Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ridgewood Community Church. The Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory has been trusted with the services.
