Joyce Dobbins McGinnis, 72, of Ridgewood, died at her residence on Friday, April 5, 2024 following a sudden illness. Joyce was born on September 20, 1951 in Jones County, to the late Fred and Eleanor Dobbins. She was a member of Oak Baptist Church.  Joyce retired from the Jones County Prison System. 

She is survived by her husband, Donnie McGinnis, her sons, Mike McGinnis and wife Stephanie, and Marty McGinnis and wife Courtney, two grandchildren, Darby McGinnis and Amos McGinnis, sisters, Sue Taylor and husband Earl, and Becky Donaldson and husband Richard, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with Reverend Tim Hopkins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Mortuary. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the services.
