1942-2024 (age 81)

Phillip "Phil" Wesley Mitchem, age 81, passed away at the McEntire Hospice House on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 following a battle with cancer. Phil was born on August 19, 1942 in Ridgewood to the late Wesley Mitchem and the late Austa Simmons Mitchem. He was a member of Zion's Grove Baptist Church and served as a deacon for a number of years. He worked for several years at AGA prior to retirement and was a graduate of Ridgewood High School. He loved his family & friends. 

His wife, Darlene, his children, and grandchildren are left to cherish fond memories of Phil’s life. 

Phil will be laid to rest during a Graveside Committal Service with Rev. Bobby Mason officiating on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 3:00 pm in the Ridgewood Community Cemetery. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the arrangements.
