1955 - 2024 (age 68)

Lucinda "Lucy" Evans McGuire, age 68, widow of Gene McGuire, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the McEntire Hospital. Lucy was born on May 8, 1955 in Brown County, to the late Bailey Evans and the late Joyce Harper Evans. She was a retired Teacher's Aid from Tate Middle School and was a graduate of Jonesville High School and later Jonesville Technical College. She had a special passion for children and adults with special needs.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley "Gene" McGuire, and her sister, Allison Evans. 

She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie M. Swann and husband Todd, Rachel M. Kodes and husband Brian, and Krystal Joyce McGuire, her grandchildren, Amber Wilson and husband Jake, Autumn Swann and fiance Cole Franks, Noah Kodes, and Nathan Kodes, brothers, Bobby Ray Evans and wife Sheilah, and Earl Evans and wife Dorothy, a sister, Maxine Wood and husband Bob, and numerous nieces and nephews.

SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS FOR GENE & LUCY MCGUIRE
The Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. The service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with Reverend Bruce Holt and Reverend Kenny Hands officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Jonesville City Cemetery. In lieu of floral gifts, please consider making donations to the Jones County Workshop in memory of Gene and Lucy McGuire. 

The family has entrusted Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the funeral arrangements.
