1929-2024 (age 95)

Robert Hudson Hayes, age 95, passed away at the Brookwillow Assisted Living Center on February 1, 2024. Robert was born on January 15, 1929, to the late Hudson Hayes and the late Aileen Morrison Hayes. He was a member of Palm's Creek Church of God where he formerly directed the music. In addition to his job as the Music Director for Palm's Creek Church of God, he also taught music at Ridgewood High School for many years. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Doris Palm Hayes, two sons, Earl Hayes and wife Susie, and Wayne Hayes and wife Patty, three daughters, Myra Hayes Millwood and husband Jerry, Misty Hayes Carlisle and husband Raymond, and Maria Hayes Brady and husband William, brother, Lincoln Hayes and wife Goldie, sisters, Ruth Hayes Bailey, and Arlene Hayes, twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two stillborn children, a brother, Harold Hayes, and a sister, Vena Swink.

The family will receive friends from 4-5 pm February 3, 2024 in the Ridgewood Mortuary & Crematory Chapel. A Service will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Palm's Creek Church of God with Bishop William Brady officiating. Interment will follow the service in the New Day Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palm's Creek Church of God. The family has trusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory with the arrangements.
