Reverend James "Jamie" Stancil, age 63, of 1480 Jordan Rd, Jonesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 21, 2023 at his residence. He was born on May 14, 1960 to the late Reverend Paul Stancil and the late Ruby Faye Stancil. He was the pastor of Cash Memorial Baptist Church for several years. 

He leaves behind his sons, Scott Stancil and his wife Amy, and Mark Stancil and his wife Michelle, a daughter, Katelynn Jordan and her husband CJ, his grandchildren, Jake, Richmond, Madelyn, and Chase, sister, Maggie Stephenson and husband Ken, brother-in-law, Gene Everett, and sister-in-law, Kaye Stancil.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sheraton "Sheri" Stancil, his brother, Reverend Arthur Stancil, and his sister, Paula Everett.

The family will receive friends at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 5-7:30 pm. A Worship Service in his memory will be conducted at 5:00 pm Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Cash Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Trason Moore officiating. Interment will be held privately. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory.
