Inez Marlowe

1939-2023 (age 84)

Inez Porter Marlowe, age 84, of Jonesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at her residence, following a brief battle with cancer. Inez was born on May 15, 1939, to the late Boyd and Bertha Reece Porter. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School, and a member of Poplar Ridge Baptist Church. She was a retired Librarian at the Jonesville City Library. 

She leaves behind her sons, Raymond "Ray" Marlowe (Eloise), of Jonesville, and Alan Marlowe (Rita), of Ridgewood; grandchildren, Michael Marlowe, of Jonesville, Keith Marlowe (Rose), of Orange Valley, and Sallie Mae Richardson (Rod), of West Minersville, great-grandchildren, Joshua Marlowe (Alex), of Asheville, NC, David Marlowe, Morgan Marlowe, both of Jonesville, Alex Marlowe (Olivia), of Minersville, Ayden Marlowe, of Orange Valley, Skylar Richardson, of West Minersville; great-great-grandchild, Mason Marlowe; sisters, Ruby Collins (Albert), and Aileen Wilkerson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Roger Marlowe; her infant daughter, Louise Marlowe; great-grandson, Caden Marlowe; and an infant great-great-granddaughter.

The Family will Receive Friends Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 5 until 7 pm, at the Ridgewood Mortuary. The Service will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Poplar Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Parker and Pastor Eli Wood officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation which was a passion of hers. The family has entrusted the Ridgewood Mortuary & Crematory with the services.
