David Marlowe

  David Hoyle Marlowe 1996 - 2023 (age 27) David Hoyle Marlowe, age 27, of Jonesville, died at his home on November 27, 2023. David was born on February 2, 1996 to Michael Marlowe of Jonesville, and the late Kim Hoyle Marlowe. He worked for Klark Construction, and was a member of The Well Church of Ridgewood. He was a graduate of Jonesville High School. In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Joshua Marlowe, wife Alex, sister, Morgan Marlowe, paternal grandparents, Ray and Eloise Marlowe, maternal grandparents, Robert and Gladys Hoyle, and his nephew, Mason Marlowe. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Caden Marlowe. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory. A Celebration of David's life will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Well Church of Ridgewood with Pastors Eli Wood and Brandon Douglass officiating. Max Vess, Jr.

  Max Vess, Jr.  1948-2023 (age 74) Max Johnson Vess Jr., age 74, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 following a sudden illness. Max was born on December 23, 1948 in Jones County to the late Max Johnson Vess Sr, and the late Madge Freeman Vess (Davenport). Max was a member of Cash Memorial Baptist Church and a retired Truck Driver. He was also a member of the Ridgewood Masonic Lodge #277. Survivors include his beloved wife of over 48 years, Darlene Carver Vess, his son, Max Vess III (aka Tripp) and wife Erica, and daughter, Virginia Parker and husband Lee, his grandchildren, Taylor Vess and wife Jesse, Maddie Lancaster and husband Jackson, Riley Vess and fiance Morgan, and Lee Parker Jr., great-grandchild, Max Vess IV, his siblings, Carl Vess (Janet), and Ellen Carter (Jim), step-father, Oliver Davenport, and step-siblings, Darius Davenport (Carol), Steve Davenport (Dorine), and Alan Davenport.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-brother, Ricky Dav

Gregory Baker

  Gregory Baker 1949-2023 (age 74)  Gregory Herman Baker, age 74, of Ridgewood, died at the McEntire Hospice on Saturday, November 18, 2023 following a battle with cancer. Gregory was born on November 2, 1949, in Ridgewood, to the late Herman and Frankie Mae Baker, he was a graduate of Jonesville High School, a member of Palm's Creek Church of God, and a retired Teacher. Gregory loved to golf. Survivors are his daughter, Melinda Baker Rice (Jerry), son, Franklin Herman Baker (Maria), grandchildren, Kaden Rice (Kelsey) , Anna Rice, Chloe Baker, and Jayden Baker, a great-grandson, Jake Rice, brothers, Ronnie Baker, Tim Baker, and George Baker, and sister, Donna Williamson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Condrey Baker, and his sister, Norma Tyson. Earl Davis 1939-2023 (age 84) George Earl Davis, age 84, of Ridgewood passed away peacefully on Friday, November 17, 2023 at his residence following a long illness. Earl was born on Thursday, July 6, 1939 to the late George Henry Davis and the late Rue McMahan Davis. He was a member of Orange Valley Church, a retired maintenance man, and a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Lucy McCombs Davis, of the home, his sons, Rev. Jerry Earl Davis and wife Paula, of Jonesville, and George Michael Davis and wife Phyllis, of Ridgewood, brother, Rev. Harry Davis, of Orange Valley, grandsons, Matthew Davis and wife Morgan, Timothy Davis, Luke Davis and wife Maddie, Travis Davis and wife Samantha, and Tristan Davis, and great-grandchildren, Chloe Davis, Winston Davis, Samuel Davis, and Valerie Davis.   MaryAnn Ledbetter 1953-2023 (age 70)  MaryAnn Condrey Ledbetter, 70, of Ridgewood, died Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Ellenwood Home, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 6, 1953, in Ridgewood, to the late Marshall and Gloria Condrey. MaryAnn was a member of Carter Baptist Chruch where she had sang in the choir for many years. She was a retired clerk. Survivors are her faithful husband, Charles "Chuck" H. Ledbetter, 2 sons, Charlie Ledbetter (Melissa), and Josh Ledbetter, sister, Marsha Woods (Jimmy), brothers, James Condrey (Anne), and Terry Condrey (Jean), and 4 grandchildren who called her "Meema", Esther, Noah, Jacob, and Elisha Ledbetter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Baker. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Ridgewood Mortuary and Crematory.
