Earl Miller

  Earl Miller 1957-2023 (age 66) Earl Freeman Miller, age 66, passed away April 21, 2023 at the McEntire Hospice House following a short illness. Earl was born on January 1, 1957, and was a son of the late Bo and Rhoda Miller. Earl was a retired Chemistry teacher, a member of Jordan Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was a deacon, and was a part of the Jonesville Community Club.  He is survived by his son, Nathan Earl Miller (Natalie); grandchildren, Blayke Melton (Tanner), Sean Miller, Alex Miller, Ayden Miller, and Eleanor Kinney; great-grandchildren, CJ Jordan, Collette Jordan, Danielle Jordan, Joseph Jordan IV, Grant Melton, Colton Jordan, and Cayden Jordan; and many friends.  Besides his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Mona B. Miller; his daughter, Monica Kinney; son-in-laws, Joey Jordan and Brian Kinney; brother; Mike Miller; grandsons, Joseph Jordan III, Dr. Chase Jordan; infant granddaughter, Diana Kinney; and great-grandchildren, Max, June, and Mere

Glenda Ills

  Glenda Ills 1950 - 2023 (age 72) Glenda Ills, age 72, of Asheville, NC, formerly of Jonesville, died April 19, 2023, following a brief illness. Glenda was born on October 19, 1950 in Franklin, to the late Oscar and Geraldine Wall. She was retired from West Asheville 4th Street Day Care where she spent several years working with the young children. She was a member of Ridgewood Community Church. Glenda is survived by her husband, Bradley Ills, of the home, daughter-in-law, Meghan Jordan, of Jonesville,  grandson, Joseph Jordan IV, of Jonesville, and sister, Betty Wall (Danny), of Ridgewood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Jordan III, in 2021, and her grandchildren, Max Jordan in 2020, and June Jordan in 2022.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 22, 2023 at the Ridgewood Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Ryan Holt officiating.
